The unit on the scientific method was not new to me, since I already learnt it in seventh grade, but because of this, I found it extremely easy and it went by fast. The scientific method includes certain steps, and here are the most important ones: 1)Identify the problem 2)Make a hypothesis 3)Process 4)Collect data 5)Analyse data 6)conclusion. In the scientific method, there are controls and you always must have ONE VARIABLE, if there is more than one, the whole lab would be pointless. There is always an independent variable and a dependent variable, the independent variable being changed by the scientist, or what is tested and manipulated. The dependent variable is what is affected by what you changed. When you have a lab, the best way to do it is to use the scientific method, it is helpful and accurate.
